Case Study 01
Aedis Architects
Aedis Architects worked with committee members of the Gilroy Unified School District to visualize their facilities master plan.
Grounding in the Past Vision and Overview
After a quick intro, Aedis Architects went over the Purpose and Objectives for the 1.5 hour meeting. I captured live visual notes as they grounded in their past vision

Using Visual Tools to Realize our Future Vision
Participants were asked to individually ideate over the question, " “What do we want our schools, students, and communities to be like in 10 years?” They then got into teams to synthesize and populate a foam board where I had that question written with imagery.

The ideas were clustered into themes to create pillars for the future master facility plan. The committee members voted and the top pillars became the focus for discussion.

Sharing Pillar Visions and Future Headlines
The group shared out their vision for each pillar and headlines “It’s 2030/35. What’s the headline that tells the community we succeeded/are succeeding?"

Visual Communication Piece
The final product is a single frame to communicate out to the community.
